"I have a frog in my mouth!"

It was later than normal when the kids got out of their bath last night. They pretty much went straight to bed. Luke woke up with a cool 'do' this morning!!! Hilarious! We are all suffering a little bit here. I don't know if it is allergies, (which would make since, seeing as how my car has turned from a shiny black to a powdery yellow in color) or just a bad cold. Whatever it is, we don't sound very pretty!!! Luke said to me this morning, "I have a frog in my mouth". It took me a minute, but I got it!!! I love that boy!!!

Well, it is over!

Tonight, I taught the ladies' class at church. I can tell how strong the power of prayer is because amazingly, I didn't even get a sick stomach at all today. I studied and knew pretty well what I was talking about. I actually enjoyed speaking to all of the wonderful women in the class. It was nice to look out and see their sweet, reassuring faces. I did, of course warn everyone that I was not blessed with the ability for public speaking....I didn't want it to be a shock to them. After class was over, several of the women came up to me and said I was wrong about my ability and I did a wonderful job. It feels really nice to overcome a fear and feel like I have done something meaningful. Thank you for all of your prayers today.

I finally have a little bit of a breather!!!

Last week, Brian and I went on a youth trip over to West Virginia. We went skiing!!! We had a really nice time in the snow. I like those short trips to where it is cold. They really confirm my feelings about living in the south....I am thankful for the warmth. Brian, and pretty much everyone else did a lot of skiing. It took me, however, until after lunch on the last day to muster up the courage to go down a real slope. Up until then, the bunny slope was still pretty much owning me!!! Brian said I wasn't 'committing to my turns and stops'. Oh well, I don't have a problem admitting when I am not good at something....However, if I lived close to the slopes, maybe......Ha!!! Anyway, it was nice, after I got over the sheer terror of it all!!! Well, we got home on Friday night. We had a family day with the kids on Saturday and went to see Horton Hears A Who. It was cute, but I was actually expecting better. I liked the musical more! Sunday was Easter and was pretty low key. It was nice. Brian got some yard work done and it is starting to look 'springy' outside. Since then, I have been preparing to teach a ladies' class for this Wednesday night. I don't know why I signed up to teach. I know fully well that public speaking is not one of the talents that God has blessed me with. I get so nervous that I either get sick, or laugh my way through. I have really enjoyed the study, though. Please pray for me that I can get what I have been studying across to them. I hope everyone had a nice Easter!!!

'Coming to a Neighborhood Near You!!!'

No crack in the sidewalk, no large stick that has fallen off of a tree, no large and overbearing, scratchy holly bush can get on the way of........"the scooter gang"!!! Yesterday, James, Anna, Luke and I took advantage of the beautiful day. In my mind, James and Anna would ride their scooters and I could push Luke in the stroller. Who was I kidding??? He, of course insisted that he ride his scooter also. I was so impressed. He was a little slower than the other two, but he pushed his little legs as hard as he could. He was smiling the whole time and saying over and over again,"I don't need help". It was adorable. We had such a great time. I am so thankful for spring and time to be able to spend with my precious children!!!

Our quick trip to Florida!!!

This past weekend, our family took a trip to see our newest member! Little baby Erin was born on Feb. 26. It was good to be able to go down and see her as a newborn. The next time we will be able to see her will be in July and she will have changed so much. James and Anna enjoyed holding her. They could move her around so easily which made me- and I am sure it made her mama very nervous!!! Sorry Leslie, I was trying to keep a close eye on them!!! We left Friday afternoon and returned home Sunday evening. We had a nice time and it was good to see everyone. I can't believe that Thanksgiving was the last time we had seen everyone!!! Time is just flying by these days!

So Excited!!!

Finally, something exciting coming out of the mailbox! Yesterday, right beore leaving for church, I checked the mail. A lot of times, I even forget to check the mail because it is pretty uneventful for me...sometimes even painful!!! You know, those big bills!!! Anyway, yesterday was different. When I saw this, I didn't even know I had been waiting on it, but I had!!! The catalog for the 2008 season of the Fox Theater in Atlanta. I was so happy that I stuck it right in my diaper bag so I could more closely examine it. I don't know when I thought I would have time to closely look at everything in this wonderful little booklet, on the drive there, or at church, but it was a good idea at the time. Well, when I arrived home, I actually had time to look at it. I AM SO EXCITED!!!!! Les Miserables, Mama Mia, Tarzan and several more are on the playlist for the season. The only thing I have to do now is decide which ones I simply can't miss being there to see. There is one problem....there are also several shows at Shakespeare I also simply will not be able to pass up. I guess the matter of $$$ is also a problem. Oh well, I am so excited anyway!!!!!

Trip to Mel's

Wow, it has been a while! This past weekend, James, Anna, and I took a trip down to Mel and Ryan's house. Mel and I were going to take a shopping trip down to Destin so I could buy the kids' summer wardrobe. We arrived Friday afternoon and were so busy that I didn't even have time to get my camera out except to document Rose's first time in her bumbo seat. She loved it! She is absolutely precious. She reminds me so much of Anna at that age. We had such a wonderful time down there. Mel, Rose, Anna, and I shopped all day Saturday. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day. We shopped, ate and talked...a perfect day! Ryan and ALL 5 BOYS (their 4 plus James) had a great time at their new house, playing in the creek, having tickle fights, and hot dogs on the bonfire at night...because the girls did not arrive home until 9:00! Thanks Ryan!!! It was great to be able to spend some time with the boys this weekend. They are all sweethearts!!! I had much success at shopping, thanks to all of Mel's help. Hopefully, we can make this an annual or even a bi-annual tradition! I had a great time,Mel. I love you!!!
